First some information:

Stephansdom / St Stephen's Cathedral Stephansdom / St Stephen's Cathedral
St. Stephen's Cathedral is one of the most important landmarks in Vienna located almost exactly in the middle of the city, in the first district. The origins of the cathedral date back as far as the 13th century. Both of its towers are accessible to visitors, the southern tower is 136,4 meters high and the northern tower is 68 meters high. The bell of St. Stephen's Cathedral is called "Pummerin".

Schloss Schönbrunn / Schoenbrunn Palace Schloss Schönbrunn / Schoenbrunn Palace
The Schönbrunn Palace is one of Austria's largest palaces and represents one of the country's most visited cultural heritages. The palace was built over 350 years ago and was used as a residence for lords, rulers and diplomates. The palace and the park were rebuilt during the reign of empress Maria Theresia and have remained the same up until today. The baroque palace served as the summer residence of the Austrian imperial family until the First World War.

Hundertwasserhaus / Hundertwasser House Hundertwasserhaus / Hundertwasser House 
The exterior facade of the Hundertwasser House magically attracts people's attention. Not only the colours of the house are special, but also its windows are very different and asymmetric. The apartments and corridors within the house have strange angles and the floors are not levelled. The house is surrounded by many trees, some of which are even growing on the roof. The architect of the house was called Friedensreich Hundertwasser.

Riesenrad / Giant Ferris Wheel Riesenrad / Giant Ferris Wheel
The Giant Ferris Wheel was built in 1897 in the Viennese Prater. Originally it had 30 gondolas but today there are only 15 left. It would take the Giant Ferris Wheel less then five minutes to do a whole rotation but it pauses regularily in order to make it possible for visitors to enter and exit the gondolas. The highest viewpoint of the Giant Ferris Wheel is at the hight of 65 meters. From there, you have a beautiful view over Vienna.

Donauturm / Danube Tower Donauturm / Danube Tower
The Danube Tower was built in the 1960s. Being 252 meters high, it is the highest building in the whole of Austria and is a very popular place to visit. It was designed and buillt on the occasion of the Vienna International Garden Show. There is a rotating restaurant and a cafe in the tower, which make it possible to enjoy the view over Vienna in all different directions.
